“About Arizonans For Fair Power Policy".

Since 1954, APS has supported and spurred growth within our state by extending power up to 1,000 feet at no cost to the consumer. This reflected the pioneer spirit that brought our forefathers west of the Mississippi. An integral part of the American Dream for anyone throughout our proud nation is home and land ownership. Many people have a dream of building a new home or business. We believe this most recent policy of eliminating the no-cost extension is drastically lowering the price of property, and placing an unreasonable economic burden on new home builders and new businesses. This policy has far reaching negative effects on our economy as a whole......... cont.

· Drastic reduction in land values.

· Reduces the tax base.

· Discourages new business.

· Discourages new home construction.

· Eliminates jobs.

· Discourages growth.

First and foremost, sign the online petition found here or downloand a hard copy found here. With enough signatures we will request that the Arizona Corporation Commission revisit the elimination of the 1000 feet of extension at no cost to the consumer.
